Quick update on the game. We now have the zombie following and attacking! he should also react to your attacks and if you hit him enough his head should fall off. Oh and layering works, so if Bob is closer to us he will be in front of the zombie.

I did this for a couple of friends Birthdays recently. I play Left 4 Dead with these guys so I thought it would make a neat card to try and draw us in one of the left 4 dead style posters. The background is from one of the actual posters and was not drawn by me.

Here’s some of the Character animations that I’ve been doing recently. Some of them still need tweaking and will probably be replaced, but I wanted to post an update.

Josh took my animations and started coding them so they actually work now.  Below you can have a little play with a very early and rough version of the game. Obviously this is nowhere near finished yet, but the plan is too post progress on the game as we go so we can see how it develops over time.

Use the arrow keys to move and press A and S to punch and kick.

Today I got around to playing with some of the animations for the main character of our game. I’ve done a simple walk, kick, punch and idle animation.

To help visualize how this could work in the game once it’s all tied together I animated a quick little test of the animations in action.

They still need a bit more polish but it’s cool to see things starting to take shape

Just been playing some more with some ideas for the game we are trying to make. We still haven’t settled on a look for our main chap here but we are making progress.
